This Saturday and Sunday, in celebration of its fifth anniversary in West Ashley, Charleston Community Acupuncture is offering free acupuncture in exchange for a small donation of five or more non-perishable food items that will be donated to the Lowcountry Food Bank this holiday season.
“We are excited for the opportunity to help feed our community in time for the holiday season and to offer free acupuncture, as our way of showing client appreciation, says owner and licensed accupuncturist Chad Houfek. He along with Nilsa Compton have a combined experience of more than a decade.
Charleston Community Acupuncture currently offers a variety of healing modalities including Orthopedic Acupuncture with Tui-na (Chinese massage), e-stim, and cupping, as well as individualized Chinese herbal medicines.
“We are striving to break the barriers that prevent people from getting acupuncture by providing quality treatment and the ability to make treatment affordable for our community,” says Houfek. “We are happy to say that we have been able to treat over 20,000 people over these last five years and look forward to helping many more.”
Appointments are recommended, but walk-ins are always welcome from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
