Intimidation
A code enforcement officer following up on violations at a Bainbridge Drive home was allegedly threatened by a guest at the home. While the officer was speaking with the homeowner, a man came outside and began to berate the officer, saying he had no right to be on the property. The officer instructed the man to calm down, to which the guest responded that he had served 10 years in prison and was not scared of code enforcement officers, and that he was going to kick the officer’s “ass.” The officer retreated to the safety of his car, called police, and when they arrived he let them handle the situation. The guest admitted to having become angry, claiming the officer had called him a “jerk.” While he remembered telling the officer about his time in prison, he didn’t recall threatening the man’s ass.

Criminal domestic violence
A Dupont Road woman called police after her ex-boyfriend, who is the father of her 2-year-old child, assaulted her. The two had gone out for a meal when the ex began asking questions about the woman’s current boyfriend. They began to argue in the car on the way to her home. Once there, the man allegedly hit the woman and then fled. Later, she called police to tell them she felt he was watching her house from nearby, because of the messages he was texting to her. One of those messages included, “I should shoot his ass right on your porch,” as the new boyfriend stepped outside for a moment. The ex called police about turning himself in, as he had heard they were looking for him. At his mother’s house, the ex admitted that their argument had become “physical,” but wouldn’t confirm if he had struck the woman.
