Redeemer Children’s Center (RCC) hosts its annual Spring Social and Silent Auction on Saturday, April 5, at Mex 1 Coastal Cantina. Tickets for the event are $5.
Also known as “The Preschool,” RCC opened its doors to children and families of the church and community in Aug. 1987 in the heart of West Ashley’s Avondale community. The center is a a 501(c) (3) non-profit subsidiary of The Lutheran Church of the Redeemer.
The fundraising goal for RCC is $6,000, which will help purchase two Baby Buggies, new shelves, tables, and chairs for the classrooms, and provide a reserve for unexpected expenses and future improvements. Local businesses are helping by donating items for the silent auction.
The silent auction will feature everything from kids’ Adirondack chairs personalized with artwork by each class, artwork, RiverDogs tickets, rounds of golf for four at Charleston Country Club and Patriot’s Point, dance lessons, yoga lessons, martial arts training, kayak tours, dolphin boat tours, a massage, photography packages, a North Carolina mountain vacation package, and much more.
Additionally, the owners of Mex 1 will donate 10 percent of proceeds from sales during the event to the school.
