St. Andrew’s Parish Parks and Playground is holding its annual Holiday Card design contest for children in grades K-5. The organization is asking local students to submit their designs by Dec. 1.
Entries will be grouped by grades, with grades K-1 in one group, grades 2-3 in another and grades 4-5 in the other. The St. Andrew’s Parks and Playground staff will judge the entries received for creativity and originality. A winner will be chosen from each grade group and from those, an overall winner will be crowned. The winning artist will receive a $100 gift card, and their work will be featured on the 2014 St. Andrew’s Parks Holiday Card. The other two grade group winners will receive a $50 gift certificate.
Here are the rules & guidelines:
• Designs must be made on plain white paper and be made with colored markers.
• On the back of the picture, please write name, school, grade, age and contact phone number in pencil so it does not bleed through to the front design.
• Also indicate where you heard about the contest.
• If necessary, paperclip a card with this information to the design.
• Please note that these are “holiday cards,” rather than Christmas cards. The more universal the better.

Submit entries by 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1 to the St. Andrew’s Parks and Playground Administration building, located at 1095 Playground Road. For more information, call 763-4360 or visit www.standrewsparks.com.
