NAME: Justin Berry
GRADE: Junior
SPORT: Football
POSITION: Quarterback
West Ashley High School junior quarterback Justin Berry transferred to West Ashley High School this year from Chicago. But he’s quickly making his presence felt. In WAHS’s first game of the 2014 season, Berry threw for three touchdowns and ran for another in the Wildcats domination of Bishop England
Berry only threw nine passes in the game, but completed five of them, three for touchdowns. All three touchdown passes went to T’qele Holmes. Berry scored the Wildcat’s first touchdown of the year on a one-yard touchdown run, giving WAHS a lead that they would  never relinquish.
“Bishop England gave a great team effort and I was really proud of the way our offensive line, running backs, and receivers played,” said Berry of his performance. “We are excited about the rest of the season but we know we have to take it one game at a time. We believe Coach Marion and his coaching staff are the best in the state and we trust in them 100 percent to make us as good as we can be.”
