With football season over, West Ashley High School running back Cameron Byas needs to find something else to keep him running. Since the 2nd grade, he has been running across the football field and scoring touchdowns. In his final season with the Wildcats, Byas ran for a total of 950 yards and scored 5 touchdowns. “[Byas] had a good year for us and he was a player that we could count on to play hard every Friday night,” said WAHS head coach Bobby Merrion.
Although the season has ended, it’s a sure thing that Byas hopes to continue to play football because he believes that everyone should “do what they love” and football is something he loves.
